đ How do you find the right mode straight away? Meet search and Favourites first
On the Create Room page, before the list of ready-made modes, you can now search by name or by rule and bring the modes with a star to the top.
Ready-made modes are the quickest way to start a game: you pick a configuration, press âCreate Roomâ and in a moment the room is open, with every rule already set. Over time there will be more and more modes, and scrolling through a long list looking for the right one, maybe with your friends waiting, isnât ideal.
How search works
On the âđ Create Roomâ page, right above the â⨠Or pick a ready-made modeâ list, thereâs now a search field. Just type: the list updates as you go. The search doesnât only look at the modeâs name, but at all of its rules too, exactly as they appear in its details: you can search for âwild tileâ, âmulti-wordâ, âscrabbleâ or âchatâ and find the modes that have that very rule.
Itâs a forgiving search: capital letters, accents and punctuation donât matter, so âcafeâ also finds âCafĂŠâ. If you type several words, they all have to appear, so the results stay precise even when there are lots of modes. The most relevant results go to the top, the words found are highlighted in yellow and, when only a few modes match, their details open by themselves, so you can see straight away why they match. A line tells you how many modes you found, and the ââ Clearâ button brings back the full list.
Favourites first
Next to the search thereâs the ââ Favourites firstâ button. The stars were already there: tapping them marks the modes you use most. Now, by pressing the button, every mode with a star moves to the top of the list, even while youâre searching. If you add or remove a star while the button is on, the list reorders straight away, and your choice is saved on your device: the next time you open the page, your favourites are already at the top.
A concrete example
Imagine you often host two kinds of evening: a quick one with a few friends and a longer one with lots of players and the Wild Tile on. Star those two modes and turn on âFavourites firstâ: every time you open the page youâll find them first, without searching. If one evening you want to try something different, type âmulti-wordâ and youâll only see the modes where you can write several words per turn.
A practical tip
Before creating the room, open the details of the mode you found: the highlighted rules confirm at a glance that itâs the right one. And if you want to understand better what each rule changes, youâll find everything on the Rules and strategies page.
