📜 Unlimited Board and Automatic Scrolling
Free letters no longer have a cap: the board grows as much as needed and, if it doesn't fit on the screen, scrolls by itself to show them all.
From today the Master can set as many free letters as they like: the old limit of 15 is gone. The board grows taller row after row and the tiles always keep the same size, readable even from far away. If there are so many letters that they don’t fit on one screen, you scroll the page as usual.
So that nobody has to scroll by hand, when the free letters exceed what fits comfortably on a Full HD screen (28, that is four rows of seven), a new panel appears below “🔤 Free Initial Letters”: “📜 Board Scrolling”. Once enabled, during drawing and writing the page slowly moves down to the last row of letters, stops for a few seconds, then moves back up to the first, and so on. You can adjust the speed, the pause at the top and bottom, and after how many seconds of inactivity it starts again.
Just touch the mouse wheel, the scroll bar, the screen or a key and the scrolling stops and lets you take over; it restarts by itself when there’s no more activity. With the “Go back to the letters” option the page returns to the board even if the Master had moved elsewhere in the meantime, for example to the Jukebox. While scrolling is running, if the timer goes off screen the small timer appears in the bottom right corner.
Scrolling applies to the Master in classic mode. The Monitor has a panel of its own, below the chat button: it starts from the room settings, but whatever you change there applies only to that screen, and it too shows the small timer in the bottom right, resizable by dragging its corner as in Integrated Mode. In the integrated modes it isn’t needed: there it’s the player who scrolls their own letters.
Finally, we fixed a rare problem: with a very unstable connection and very fast taps, the player whose turn it was could draw more letters than expected and the game stayed stuck in the drawing phase. Now the Master and the server check the limit on every draw, and each tap is worth exactly one letter.
