🔥 Streaks Are Here: Play Every Day and Earn XP
One game a day for five days in a row: the tiles fill up, change colour and, if you keep going, the bonus grows.
From today every player with an account has their own streak: a run of consecutive days in which they play at least one game. It’s one more small reason to come back to LexiSmash every day, even just for a quick match with friends or against the bots.
How it works. Streaks are measured in games played, not in visits: opening the site isn’t enough. To make a day count you need to play a real game, meaning you personally submit a word in at least three different rounds and stay in the game for at least three minutes. Games against bots count too, as long as you are the one playing. Complete five days in a row and the streak is done: at the start of the seventh day you receive 20 XP.
The tiles. In the Account panel, below the level bar, you’ll find a row of tiles like the ones on the game board: one for each day of the streak. Today’s tile has a dashed outline and fills up from the bottom as you play; once the day counts, it becomes full and lights up. Below the tiles you can see today’s games, the XP on its way and the date it will arrive.
Chaining streaks. If you keep playing the day after completing a streak, you immediately start another one, chained to the previous. Each link adds a 10 XP bonus, and from the third streak in a row the total bonus doubles. A few examples:
- 2 chained streaks: 20 + 20 XP, plus a 10 XP bonus;
- 3 chained streaks: 20 + 20 + 20 XP, plus (10 + 10) Ă— 2 = 40 XP bonus;
- 10 chained streaks: 200 XP, plus a 180 XP bonus.
The 20 XP for each streak arrive as you go; the chain bonus arrives all at once when the run ends. The longer you last, the bigger the final reward.
From blue to purple. With every chained streak the tiles change colour: they start from a cold blue and move through light blue, green, yellow, orange and red to a blazing purple. Whoever reaches the end of the scale starts again from blue at Level 2, then Level 3, and so on — the bonus keeps growing as usual.
The celebration. When you receive the points for a streak, a few seconds after you enter the game a panel with confetti pops up to tell you how much XP you earned and why.
Premium: one day of grace. For Premium players the streak is a little more forgiving: if you skip a day the run doesn’t break, it pauses (that day doesn’t count, but you don’t lose anything). It only breaks if you skip two days in a row.
Time zones. A streak “day” follows your time zone, which is locked when the run begins. If your device’s time zone changes during a streak (for example while travelling to another country), the streak breaks and a new one starts with the new time zone. Premium players get grace here too: their streak carries on with the new time zone. Switching between summer and winter time doesn’t count as a time zone change.
Streaks are for accounts only, because they need a profile to be saved to; guests keep playing exactly as before.
