🎁 Special Word Bonuses: Now Every Word Can Be Worth More (or Less)
The Host can pick words with their own score — bonus or penalty — and decide whether to warn players with a reminder above the board.
From today the Host has a new rule available, “🎁 Special Word Bonuses”, to make matches a little less predictable: you can define one or more word blocks, each with its own list (even a single word, or several together) and an associated score — positive, to reward whoever writes it, or negative, to penalize them. The score is added to or subtracted from the word’s own score automatically, with no manual step needed during review.
Here’s an example: the Host could set up a block with “CAT” and “DOG” at +10 points each, and another block with “BORING” at -5 points — anyone who writes “CAT” or “DOG” gains 10 extra points, anyone who writes “BORING” loses 5. The rule turns on with a dedicated switch in the Settings panel; a second, fully independent switch decides whether to show a reminder above the board (for host, monitor, and integrated mode) listing the active bonus words — so the Host can choose to play with cards on the table or keep it a surprise.
As with other optional rules, a chip in the public rooms list flags when it’s active, showing how many blocks have been configured. Everything else keeps working exactly as before, both with bots and with human players.
