🎮 A Button of Its Own for the Gamepad

17/09/2026

A new button in the settings panel is dedicated to the controller, and changes color depending on whether it's connected.

A new 🎮 button has appeared in the settings panel (the gear ⚙️ icon at the top), first in the row, before the light/dark theme button. Clicking it opens the very same popup used to activate and configure a gamepad — handy if you declined it by mistake, or just want to revisit the choice without reloading the page.

The button changes color on its own: it stays neutral as long as no controller has ever been connected this session, turns green as soon as a gamepad is connected and active, and turns red if a gamepad that was connected drops out — useful for noticing right away, say, a battery dying mid-match.

Everything else about gamepad support stays the same: the same stick and button mapping, the same custom cursor, the same on-screen keyboard. This button is just a handier way to keep it all in view.
