🥇 What Counts as a Win, for the Leaderboard
The podium now counts as a win, and finishing first over and over earns a bonus.
Until today, for the global Leaderboard, “winning” meant one thing only: being the player who reached the match’s score limit first. 2nd and 3rd place, however well earned, counted for nothing.
As of today that’s no longer the case: whoever finishes on the podium (1st, 2nd, or 3rd place) of a qualifying match is credited with a win on the Leaderboard, not just the single overall winner.
There’s also a new addition for those who claim first place often: every time you finish 1st, you earn a point toward a goal — once that goal is reached, you get one extra bonus win on the Leaderboard, on top of the regular one already earned for your placement. No shortcuts: there’s still only one way to climb the Leaderboard, just a small extra reward for those who make first place a habit.
Everything else — who qualifies for the Leaderboard, the minimum number of matches, the win/matches ratio as the sorting criterion — stays exactly as it was.
