🎲 Now You Can Really Play in Six Languages
Not just the site: the dictionary, the official Scrabble scoring, and the letters you draw now speak Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, and Dutch too.
Translating the site into six languages was only the first step: from today, the game itself follows suit. Until yesterday, a match created in French or German would still draw Italian letters and score points with Italian rules under the hood — now every room truly uses the dictionary, scoring, and alphabet of the chosen language.
Each language has its own dictionary of valid words, its own official Scrabble scoring system, and its own drawing alphabet, special letters included where needed (German also draws Ä, Ö, and Ü, each with its own dedicated value). The Host can pick the game’s language from the new dropdown in the settings, which already starts set to whichever language you’re browsing the site in, and the choice also shows up in the public room list in the Lobby.
No extra steps to learn: just create the room as usual, the right language is already set.
