🛒🃏 More Freedom to Buy, More Clarity for the Wildcard
Decide who can buy extra private letters and when, while Wildcard correction becomes even more precise and never misleading.
Private letters are one of LexiSmash’s most loved rules, but until now how they worked was fairly rigid on a couple of points. From today, two fixes arrive designed just for those who use them often: more freedom over who can buy them, and even clearer correction for how they’re shown when the Wildcard is involved too.
Until now, when letter drawing was set to private, only the player whose turn it was could buy extra letters, and only in the short window before starting the timer. From today the Host can choose between three rules: as before (only whoever is drawing), or open to anyone who wants to buy while someone else is drawing, or even more permissive, open during correction too — the only moment always excluded remains the writing countdown, so as not to break the concentration of whoever is writing. Players waiting for their turn now find the same familiar purchase panel appearing right below the board, ready to use.
On the correction side, highlighting of Wildcard-replaced letters is no longer a simple on/off: now you can choose to show them always, show only the “public” ones (carefully hiding even the fact that a private letter was involved, for those who want to stay more discreet), or turn them off entirely. And when a letter is both private and a Wildcard result at the same time, there’s a small extra touch: it will appear with a color that blends both nuances, instead of having to pick just one — one more way to read at a glance what happened in that word.
Two different details, but with the same goal: letting you decide how open or how discreet you want your match to be, without touching the awarded scores in any way.
