⏱️ The Board Follows You Everywhere
Timer always in view, less scrolling up and down on your phone, and a few extra touches for playing comfortably in Integrated Mode.
Since Integrated Mode arrived, you’ve told us a couple of very sensible things: first, when scrolling down toward your own letters or the chat, the board (and its countdown with it) disappears from the screen, and you lose track of how much time is left. Second, you still end up doing a fair amount of scrolling up and down between the board and your own actions area. We’ve been working on it.
First thing: there’s now a small compact timer that stays visible at all times, in a corner, as soon as the main board scrolls off screen — complete with the exact same tick and alarm sounds as the board, so you can hear the countdown coming even without looking at it. Second thing: two toggles have appeared in the page settings, both off by default and enabled as you like. The first automatically scrolls down to your own actions the moment it’s your turn to play. The second, more radical one, “detaches” the actions panel from the rest of the page and has it follow you as you scroll, snapping back into its normal spot when you scroll back up — handy for anyone who prefers never to lose sight of their own buttons, no matter what part of the page they’re looking at. They’re designed not to get in each other’s way: you can turn on one at a time.
We also took the chance to fix a few things behind the scenes: rejoining a room after a sudden disconnection should now work more reliably, and every new match now always starts with a genuinely clean board, with no leftovers from the previous one.
As always, none of this changes anything about scoring: these are just different ways of keeping an eye on the match, not new rules.
