🤖 The Host Can Now Call In Bots
If the table is short a player, or you just want a bit more of a challenge, you can now fill the room with custom bots.
It happens to everyone: you’re three instead of five, or you’d simply like a livelier match without having to convince more friends to join. From today the Host has one more card to play: Room Bots, artificial players who draw letters, buy extra ones, and write words just like a real person would, sitting at the same table.
They’re enabled from the new Bot Settings panel, on the setup screen, right below Auto Host. From there you create bots one at a time, choosing their name, skill (how often they play the best possible word instead of a more “human” and imperfect one), tendency to buy extra letters, reaction time, and even which dictionary to use — Italian, English, or both together. Different bots can have different personalities in the same room: one ruthless, one more distracted, entirely up to the Host.
They remain an optional addition, off by default until enabled for that room: bots join the list as regular players, are also visible to anyone browsing public rooms in the Lobby, and can always be removed with a click, exactly like anyone else at the table. The one thing they never do, to stay polite: write in chat.
